In the most iconic way possible, the WWE star “The Rock” exclaimed he was busy watching videos of quarterback Jalen Hurts losing in the playoffs, ticking reactions from the fans.
Dwayne Johnson said,
“Are you sure you want to know why The Rock was late? He was watching YouTube, watching Jalen Hurts lose in the playoffs again.”
WWE will be hosting Wrestlemania 2024 this weekend at Lincoln Financial Field, the home of the Philadelphia Eagles, the biggest two days in professional wrestling.
Fans in Philadelphia will witness The Rock’s return to the ring after a long eight years, he will team up with Roman Reigns to battle Seth Rollins and Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40.
Johnson’s reference to the videos was of the Eagles losing in last year’s postseason to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the Wild Card round.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts and the Eagles started off the season great in 2023 with 11-1, but went down with a 1-5 record to close out the regular season and a Wild Card round playoff loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Tampa, Florida.
After acknowledging as one of the best teams in the league, the Eagles went down through Week 12, amounting to a 10-1 record. After their loss to the San Francisco 49ers in Week 13, only able to get one win the rest of the season and were blown out in the Wild Card round in Tampa Bay.
A series of criticisms from fans, analysts, and even some players followed, but Hurts seemed determined to take his team to the next step of success and compete for a world championship.
“I think this year has taught me so much. The first thing that you do is you look at yourself in the mirror, you look at what you could have been better at, how you could have led better, how you could have executed better.”
