Caleb’s fit within the Bears’ offense is a matter of speculation, particularly in terms of how often he will use his running ability in the NFL.
While he didn’t run much in the 2023 season at USC, Caleb prefers to throw deep and looks for opportunities to do so. However, it’s worth noting that he has shown the ability to use his speed when needed.
ESPN’s Matt Miller discusses Caleb Williams’ playing style and what he can bring to the Bears. Williams recently visited Halas Hall for his pre-draft visit with the team.
He dined with Bears executives and will be part of their top-30 visits before the draft. The Bears hold the first and ninth picks in the first round.
Chicago has been testing Williams’ football knowledge and building a rapport with him.
The visit also included medical testing. Williams had previously opted out of medical evaluations at the NFL combine.
It is uncertain if there are any additional visits planned before the draft, which begins on April 25th.
Fans reacted as follows:
Shocker he wants to throw to DJ Moore and Keenan Allen as a rookie along with Cole Kmet and Gerald Everett while getting to hand the ball off to Swift and Herbert. Can anyone name a better situation in recent history for a QB selected first overall?

Why wouldn’t he? For a #1 overall pick, they have a good team and they’re only borderline dysfunctional which again for having the #1, isn’t bad.
Chi fans need to get over Fields and the fact this dude paints his nails, they should be over the moon excited.

For everyone saying he sucks or is going to be a bust… Remind me of another QB with these stats: On third downs the past two seasons, his touchdown-to-interception ratio was 16-to-0. His TD-to-INT ratio in the red zone during that span: 46-to-1.

Glad that’s working out. He did not seemed thrilled a year ago. Poles set him up pretty well.

They had to get another Wr1 before he decided he wanted to play for them 🤣

It's almost like there's only one team capable of getting him…

It looks to be an incredible situation for a top pick to walk into. Sucks he has to live in Chicago but he's rich so that can be overlooked.

I know this ain't entirely official, but as of right now. Haha, Commanders! Y'all lost your hometown qb because you couldn't suck more than a team that shouldn't and couldn't tank but sucked anyway. What happened to "Caleb demanding to play for Washington"? Losers. 😤

I mean he’s pretty much a lock despite how much of a Diva he appears to be. Everyone should just stop talking about him atp cause we all already know.

This qb class is going to be up there with the Lawrence, Wilson, Lance, Fields in terms of busts.
