After the Boston Celtics secured a hard-fought victory against the Sacramento Kings, Abby Chin caught up with Payton Pritchard to discuss his role in impacting the game and his personal development as the season approaches its final stretch.
“Peyton, Sacramento is fighting for their playoff lives. How did you guys close this one out? Take me through those last few possessions,” Abby inquired, seeking insight into the Celtics’ strategy during the crucial moments of the game.
“They made a big push right there. They started hitting. We missed a couple shots, but, you know, we took care of it. At the end of business, x hit a big shot, so put us over the hump,” Pritchard responded.
"Just finding ways to affect the game and leading our team win"

Reflecting on the significance of such experiences, Abby asked, “How valuable can those experiences be?”
“It’s definitely good for us. I mean, we just keep growing, learning from experiences like this and keep growing our game so when time comes, we can help the team,” Pritchard remarked.
Addressing Pritchard’s individual performance, Abby noted, “You now hold the franchise record for five plus threes coming off the bench. What kind of flow did you find here?”
“I feel like I was in good rhythm, you know, my finger, my middle finger is a little bit better. It’s been jammed up a lot last couple games, so today felt a little bit better,” Pritchard shared.
Closing the conversation, Abby asked about Pritchard’s personal goals for the remaining games of the season, stating, “We talked at halftime about working on things. What are you working on personally these last handful of games, knowing you’re going to get some extended run.”
“I’m just focusing on finding ways to affect the game and leading our team to win,” Pritchard affirmed, highlighting his commitment to contributing positively to the team’s success as the season progresses.
