ESPN analyst Chiney Ogwumike believes Iowa Hawkeyes record holder Caitlin Clark stands head and shoulders above the rest, despite losing to South Carolina in the NCAA final on the weekend.

“Caitlin Clark is the most impactful player that the game has seen in a generation. What she has done single-handedly putting the women’s game, particularly through the platform of Iowa, has put us on the map in ways that we have never seen,”

Clark was understandably emotional after the game, an 87-75 loss.

“The emotions will probably hit me over the next couple days,” Clark said. “I don’t have much time to sit around and sulk and be upset. I don’t think that’s what I’m about either. Yeah, I’m sad we lost this game, but I’m also so proud of myself, I’m so proud of my teammates, I’m so proud of this program. There’s a lot to be proud of.”

South Carolina coach Dawn Staley says you Habra to earn titles to be considered a GOAT.

“I was really good in college, never won a championship,” said Staley, who led Virginia to three Final Fours, losing the only national championship she played for, in 1991. “You’ve got to win a championship. That’s (my opinion) personally. Like I had a great career. But it’s always, did you win a championship.”

On social media just prior to the game the legendary LeBron James write on his ‘X page.

“If you don’t rock with Caitlin Clark game, you’re just a FLAT OUT HATER!!!!! Stay far away from them people!! PLEASE,” James wrote.

Clark is either on Mount Rushmore, or on top of it. You decide.

The rest of the basketball world has.
