The four-time NBA champion and five-time All-Star Golden State Warriors veteran shooting guard, Klay Thompson, gave an incredible performance against the Utah Jazz and registered 32 points, 5 rebounds, and 4 assists.
The Warriors are currently standing tenth in the Western Conference and for the season, the squad is 43-35. The 3-point King, Stephen Curry, did not play in the game against the Jazz. The Warriors defeated the Jazz squad with a final score of 118-110.
According to The Athletic’s Tim Kawakami, Klay Thompson shared, regarding his games played, reflecting back after giving an incredible performance, “That’s incredible after two years of rehab plus. So that’s something I can hang my hat on, be proud of, is being durable during the season.”
Thompson had been absent from four games this season and his current season was not commenced with the same spirit that he is currently enjoying. He had a tumultuous time with his performance and he continued to play until he found his tempo with the squad.
Thompson suffered an ACL tear in his left knee in the 2019 NBA Finals, which subsequently derailed his entire 2019-2020 season. He then sustained a right Achilles tendon tear, which sidelined his 2020-2021 season and took some time out of the 2021-2022 season as well.
Thompson, regarding his comeback, mentioned, as per the report, “I think it is amazing becauseit’s easy to fall in love with the great shooting it’s easy to fall in love with the great shooting nights and big scoring outputs. But unless you’ve been through an Achilles rehab or ACL, it’s very difficult. To do that and in two years to come out and play, whatever, 94 percent of the games, that’s what I’m most proud of, just being available and being a constant in the lineup.”
He further continued, “Because the NBA season is strenuous, it’s long. It takes a lot of discipline to be able to do it nightly. That’s one thing I’m very proud of this season, just my ability to play this amount of games.”
“One of the worst-kept secrets in the league is that Orlando, loaded with young talent but not with shooters, might offer Klay a ton of money next summer.” 👀

According to the report, it is also suggested that the Orlando Magic squad could take Thompson up, as he is one of the best in his field. However, the Warriors will be taking into consideration how Thompson has evolved after sustaining massive injuries and how he is moving up in his games.
