The Outland Trophy recipient, former defensive tackle of Texas Longhorns, T’Vondre Sweat, was recently arrested on grounds of driving while intoxicated, a DWI charge.
The defensive tackle was released after posting a $3,000 bond and will visit the Tennessee Titans and then the Seattle Seahawks. According to Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network, “Texas DT T’Vondre Sweat is flying to Tennessee today for a visit with the #Titans and will visit the #Seahawks later this week.
Sweat posted $3,000 bond after his Sunday arrest on suspicion of DWI. His pre-draft process — and a chance to explain the situation — continues.”

According to a team source, Sweat has been up front with NFL teams about his "partying" as an underclassman. And made it a point of emphasis in interviews that it was all in the past.
Obviously, today's incident (3 wks from the NFL Draft) won't help answer any concerns w/ teams. https://t.co/6QscOpRnVt

Sweat was one of the top-notch prospects with the Longhorns and last year he was named unanimous All-American. He was projected in the second round of the mock drafts of the league.
He was also named the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year in 2023. In the last season, the prominent defensive tackle played in 14 games and, as per the NFL posted 45 tackles, eight tackles for loss, and two sacks.
