New Bengals tight end Mike Gesicki is hoping to emulate his terrific 2021 season at Miami this season.
The 2018 second round draft pick was on the up and up at the Dolphins catching 73 passes.
But his star faded fast and he was shipped off to the Patriots before signing for the Bengals last month.
“New team, new staff, new quarterback. Everything is new for me,” Gesicki said, via the team’s website. “So I have to go out there and earn the trust. It’s more proving what I’m capable of doing and earning more and more opportunities once the football starts. It’s only April. A long way to go.”
The new quarterback in question is Joe Burrow and Gesicki should have an even better season than his short lived 2021 campaign.
