Former Washington Commanders Defensive End James Smith-Williams Joins Atlanta Falcons for 2024 NFL Season

Former defensive end of the Washington Commanders, James Smith-Williams will be commencing his 2024 NFL season with the Atlanta Falcons. 

He was picked up in the 2020 NFL Draft in the 7th round as the 229th pick by the Washington Commanders. The former North Carolina State Wolfpack played for four seasons with the Commanders and has now signed a one-year deal with the Falcons. 

He played in 55 games with the Commanders squad and registered seven sacks and 31 quarterback hits. In the last season, due to injuries, his participation in the games took a hit. He played in 13 games and recorded 22 tackles, one quarterback sack, two tackles for loss, and eight quarterback hits. During his time with the Commanders, he started 27 games.
