WATCH: Elly De La Cruz hits this insane inside-the-park Home Run as Reds trump Brewers

Cincinnati Reds star Elly De La Cruz showcased his speed and power in a game against the Milwaukee Brewers, hitting both an inside-the-park home run and an outside-the-park home run.

The Reds had initially taken an 8-0 lead by the fourth inning, but the Brewers made a comeback that was quickly thwarted by De La Cruz’s home runs.

Known for his pace, De La Cruz ran the bases and scored in just 14.96 seconds with his inside-the-park homer.

The 22-year-old Dominican player, who signed with the Reds in 2018, has established himself as a starter with
impressive defensive skills and electric speed on the bases.

Despite facing some early struggles this year, De La Cruz has found his rhythm again. In the game against the Brewers, he tallied four runs and three hits, securing a 10-8 victory for the Reds.

His performance included a 450-foot outside-the-park homer, making it the fourth longest home run of the season.

De La Cruz’s inside-the-park homer in the eighth inning made him the first player since 2011 to hit both types of home runs in the same game, and he achieved this feat batting from both sides of the plate.

This game marked his first multi-hit game of 2024 and significantly improved his season batting average.

It was also the first inside-the-park homer of his major league career and the first for the Reds since last September.

De La Cruz’s impressive performance solidified his status as one of the most gifted and electric players in the game.
