The Chargers will be hoping new offensive coordinator Greg Roman can deliver and there is every reason for fans to be optimistic.
Run game coordinator Andy Bischoff believes Roman will do well despite the difference in playing styles between his former Baltimore Ravens QB Lamar Jackson and current line caller Justin Herbert.
“This morning in our team meeting with the offense, [Roman] used the word ‘epic’ in front of the guys and defined it," Bischoff told team’s website.
"Why not create something different than has ever been done. As much success as we’ve all had in different places doing different things, none of that really matters. All that really matters is right now and creating that here."
Pass game coordinator at the Chargers, Marcus Brady and Bischoff both talked about pairing Herbert with a strong rushing attack.
Will Roman Reign at the Chargers? We hope he creates legacy team or at least title contenders in the short term.
