“That’s wack to me” Draymond Green Criticizes Referees Despite Golden State Warriors’ Victory Over Los Angeles Lakers

The Golden State Warriors have recently defeated the Los Angeles Lakers with a concluding score of 120-134. They are standing in the Western Conference in tenth place and for the season, they are 44-35.

The five-time All-Star Klay Thompson scored the highest point in the club, posting 27 points and 3 assists. In second place, it was 3-Point King Stephen Curry, who added 23 points, 7 rebounds, and 8 assists. Andrew Wiggins registered 17 points, 4 rebounds, and the four-time All-Star, Green, ended his game with 15 points, 6 rebounds, and 10 assists.

However, during the post-game interview, Green expressed his displeasure at the referees who failed to notice the movement Austin Reaves made against him while he was going for a point. He compared the situations to the enforcements he underwent for the fouls he committed.

He mentioned, "Steph was standing there, which was great because he heard how the referee talked to me. And he went immediately from talking to me to like, ‘Yo, you can’t talk to him like that.’ And I think that’s the wackest part about it. You can say and speak to me however you feel. But if I say something back, it’s a tech. That’s wack to me. You miss a call, guy clubbed me across the face, and then you like, ‘I don’t wanna talk to you. Get out my face.’ Who are you? You don’t just get to not talk. You missed a call. You can’t get mad ’cause you missed a call. And so, it’s a little crazy."

Green also shared how the situation frustrates him because he is treated unfairly by the officials. He also disclosed that he faces a hit in every single game and no foul is called, stating, "I hit somebody in the face, I get thrown under the jail."

He is averaging 8 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 5.4 assists and was impressive with three-pointers against the Lakers. Reaves, in the post-game interview, also shared his thoughts regarding Green’s performance, stating, "You tip your hat. At the end of the day, Draymond is as fierce a competitor as you see in the NBA. It really doesn’t surprise me if he does that because of what he gives to the game."

The Warriors will next face the Portland Trail Blazers and after that, they will lock horns with the New Orleans Pelicans.
