Bronny James, has been making headlines for declaring his intent for the 2024 NBA Draft. But question marks remain over his readiness and raw potential.
Bronny plans to participate in the upcoming NBA draft, coupled with retaining his college eligibility.
However, not everyone agrees with the seemingly premature entry of Bronny into the NBA playground.
This includes an anonymous NBA general manager, who candidly told Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer that there’s a myriad of budding prospects superior to Bronny in this year’s draft.
This NBA general manager stated, “There are probably three rounds’ worth of prospects more talented than Bronny in this class. Choosing Bronny is more about securing LeBron’s attention than developing Bronny himself.”

While basketball experts have lauded his athletic prowess, they believe Bronny still has much to learn.
The mentioned GM echoed this view. He said, “Bronny is not ready yet. He needs to return to school to grow at his own stride or risk getting lost in the crowd, irrespective of whether he’s playing with his father or not.”
Despite the undercurrents of contention surrounding his NBA potential, Bronny performed fairly well during his days in college.
Attending USC, he averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in 25 games.
Notably, Bronny suffered a significant hurdle in his career, when he underwent a cardiac arrest during a team workout.
Proving his resilience, he recovered fully from this setback and was ready to return to the court in December.
