The National Football League (NFL) revels in rivalries, but there could be a game-changer this season.

Montez Sweat, while speaking in an unscripted moment on the “Green Light” podcast, took NFL’s well-famed enmity to a new level.

Declaring a personal war against Green Bay, Sweat took the sporting world by surprise.

Sweat, a member of the Bears and an acclaimed edge rusher, has made a resounding statement of intent towards the reigning Packers.

He pledged, unprompted, “I’m letting you know right now, man, I’m not losing to Green Bay this year,” Sweat said. “I can’t do it, I can’t do it, man. I’m not losing to Green Bay this year. We’ve created a real rivalry over there.”

He claimed his friendship with several Packers players, with Rashan Gary standing out, only intensifies the competition.

Sweat began his NFL journey in the Windy City with a 17-9 loss against Jordan Love and the Packers in Week 18. Green Bay currently enjoys the upper hand with a ten-match winning streak.

Between these two NFL titans, Green Bay has commanded the turf, winning 17 out of 20 and dominating 22 of the past 26 games against the Bears.
