Ben Simmons has been cut from the Australian Olympic Basketball team ahead of the Paris games after suffering another injury at the Brooklyn Nets.
Simmons has frustratingly not been part of the Australian squad since the 2013 FIBA Oceania Championship and is set to miss out on the global showpiece event.
The injury plagued player is on a $177.2 million deal at the Nets but has only played 57 games in three years for Brooklyn.
He was set for a Boomers return but a back injury earlier this year has dashed his Olympic hopes.
