Giants star pitcher Logan Webb is lucky to have the unwavering support of his two grandmothers throughout the baseball season. However, despite Webb’s achievements, his grandmas have a surprising favorite player on the San Francisco Giants roster, and it’s not him.
In a recent interview on “The Chris Rose Rotation” podcast, Webb shared that his grandmas, whom he affectionately calls the “team grandmas,” have a soft spot for Giants utilityman Wilmer Flores. Webb explained that his grandmas, who moved in together after losing their husbands, had been eager to meet Flores for quite some time. When Flores finally met them, he made their night by graciously spending time with them.

It’s clear why Webb’s grandmas are fond of Flores, especially considering his impressive performance last season. Although Flores is still searching for his first home run of the 2024 season, he has the support of the two Webb matriarchs behind him.
Now that Webb’s grandmas have met Flores, Webb joked that they might soon have a new favorite player, Blake Snell or Matt Chapman. Regardless, seeing the bond between Webb’s grandmas and their favorite Giants player is heartwarming.
