Greg Norman’s son revealed that his father had to buy a weekly pass from the secondary market to attend The Masters after being denied a ticket through professional channels.

The 69-year-old, who is the CEO of LIV Golf, made a surprising appearance to support the LIV Golf players. This was his first time at Augusta National since taking the role in 2022.

Although Norman never won The Masters, he had been a runner-up three times. He was seen walking outside the ropes with a security guard, interacting with LIV Golf players and Australian golfer Min Woo Lee.

Norman’s presence at The Masters is expected throughout the week as he continues to support the LIV Golf players. Norman Jr emphasized that despite receiving hate online, the majority of people they encounter are positive and supportive of LIV Golf.

Greg Norman, CEO of LIV Golf, was seen at Augusta National during the Masters tournament. Although he was not invited, Norman purchased a ticket on the secondary market to attend as a patron.

He was there to support the LIV players and watched them practice their short irons during the Par-3 Contest. Despite not receiving an official invitation, Norman received positive support from golf fans.

His son, Greg Norman Jr., explained on social media that they have faced hate from financially motivated or online trolls, but most people they encounter are supportive.

Norman expressed hope that more golfers from the Saudi-backed league will receive invitations to the Masters. He also stated that he is rooting for one of his LIV players to win the green jacket.
