The Minnesota Twins are awaiting the results of an MRI on Carlos Correa’s right oblique strain.
Manager Rocco Baldelli stated that they do not yet have a timeline for his return to the team.
It is expected that Correa will need to go on the injured list.

In the meantime, Willi Castro is likely to play as the primary shortstop.
Correa left the game in the third inning and the diagnosis was announced shortly after.
It is unclear how long Correa will be out, but even Grade 1 oblique strains usually require several weeks of recovery.
Correa had been off to a strong start this season, batting .306/.432/.444.
The Twins have limited options at shortstop with several players already out or lacking experience at the position.
