Zach Johnson angry at Augusta patrons, faces backlash for shouting abuse

Zach Johnson appeared to swear at spectators during round two of the Masters after they cheered his triple bogey. However, he denied the claims and laughed them off.

Zach Johnson, the former Ryder Cup captain and 2007 Masters Champion, had a rough time during the second round of the Masters Tournament. He struggled on the 12th hole, hitting his tee shot into the woods and eventually three-putting for a triple-bogey.

Frustrated, Johnson told the spectators to quiet down with some profanity. His ball also ended up in Rae’s Creek. With a bogey on the 13th hole, his chances of making the cut for the weekend look slim.

An audio clip caught him saying “oh f*** off” in response. This triple bogey took him from four-over to seven-over for the tournament, effectively ending his chances of making the cut.

This outburst is not the first time Johnson has lost his composure. He faced criticism after the Ryder Cup defeat last year and was recorded confronting fans at the WM Phoenix Open, telling them to shut up.

When asked about these incidents, Johnson expressed his frustration with the tournament and its aggressive spectators.

He questioned whether the fans had crossed the line and called the tournament inappropriate. Despite the difficulties, Johnson keeps returning to Phoenix due to scheduling reasons and his liking of the greens. However, the recent incidents have made him consider not coming back in the future.

Johnson emphasized that the situation at tournaments like Phoenix is getting out of control, with people falling from the stands and fights breaking out.

He believes the organizers need to take action to prevent serious injuries. He concluded by saying that he is currently in an emotional state and unsure if he will return to future tournaments.

Zach Johnson’s performance at the Masters and his confrontations with fans have highlighted his frustration and raised questions about his future participation in certain tournaments.
