Inter Miami Tops Sporting Kansas City with Lionel Messi Goal in Front of Record MLS Crowd

The Argentinian legend and FIFA World Cup winner, Lionel Messi, scored a goal against Sporting Kansas City. Inter Miami won against Kansas City with a final score of 2-3. 

Arrowhead Stadium saw an incredible amount of spectators, the game was viewed by 72,610 fans. It was the third-largest crowd for a regular-season game in the history of Major League Soccer. 

As per Front Office Sports, “72,610 fans turned out to watch Messi and Inter Miami take Sporting KC at Arrowhead Stadium tonight. That’s the third-highest attendance for a single match in MLS history.”

Recently, as per SI, there have also been the two biggest regular-season attendances in Major League Soccer history; in 2023, the Los Angeles Galaxy against the Los Angeles FC saw 82,110 spectators. In 2022, Los Angeles Galaxy defeated Charlotte FC in front of 74,479 spectators.
