San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Brandon Aiyuk recently became the subject of various trade rumors that have been circulating throughout the offseason.
Despite no clear intention from the 49ers to deal with Aiyuk. San Francisco’s inclination towards retaining him could mean a new contract for Aiyuk with the 49ers.
But with time still left before the new season, nothing is off the table. Despite the looming uncertainty, Brock Purdy, the current 49ers quarterback, has spoken out regarding the rumors.
Revealing a conversation with Aiyuk. He goes on record to say, “I just told him I’ll always have his back and support him in whatever he does.”

“I want the best for him. It’s a business thing, so for me to say anything about that, that’s out of my pay grade. He and I talk through things and I hear him out.
“At the end of the day, what he’s done for me, giving me an opportunity to come in and throw him the ball, I’ll always be thankful for that.”
Boasting a remarkable career record, he remains poised to face whatever turn his NFL career may take.
Last season, Aiyuk impressively caught 75 passes for a career-high 1,342 yards, marking seven touchdowns in 16 games.
Additionally, his performance in the three postseason matches was commendable, with nine passes grabbed for 149 yards, delivering an all-important touchdown.
Garnering acknowledgment for his outstanding past season performance, Aiyuk was honored as the second-team All-Pro 2023.
Initially, the 25th pick on the overall 2020 draft, Aiyuk’s rise to prominence in such a short time is striking.
