The Kansas City Chiefs started their preseason today with the situation regarding receiver Rashee Rice unclear.
Rice gas been charged with eight felonies and counting for his involvement in a DUI or at least being the passenger in an accident scene who fled the area after injuries were incurred in the incident.
It is reported quarterback Patrick Mahomes has been throwing to Rice and fellow receivers already, but the criminal charges may see the team cancel his contract.
The league could suspend him on pay or the Chiefs could terminate his deal.
He ran for 938 receiving yards last season as Kansas City won the Superbowl.
He will surely be out for a large part, if not all the 2024 season.
