Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has admitted the signing of Antonio Pierce as head coach went a long way in helping him decide to stay in Las Vegas.
With GM Mike Telesco affirming that Adams will stay with the Raiders and now the player admitting as much, it seems as if the Las Vegas team will start the off season with one less worry.
“If I wanted to be gone, I’d be gone by now,” Adams told Tashan Reed of TheAthletic.com. “This is where I want to be.”
Adams had a good 2023 season especially when Pierce replaced Josh McDaniels, and went caught 103 passes for 1,144 yards.
“It’s already helped the morale of the team,” Adams said of Las Vegas hiring Pierce. “It’s what we were all looking for: To be able to continue with the same mindset that we had. That’s our guy. We’ve got to get to work now. … It’s about what we go out there and do.”
He will be looking to emulate his numbers of 2022, when he went for 1,516 yards and a league leading 14 touchdowns.
