The former NBA champion, and ESPN analyst, Kendrick Perkins has recently shared his vote for the highly-anticipated MVP race and has gone with Oklahoma City Thunder superstar, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.
Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the top-notch names that has come up for the MVP race and other star candidates for the prestigious award are reigning Finals MVP, six-time All-Star, Denver Nuggets Nikola Jokic and the Dallas Mavericks, five-time All-Star, Luka Doncic.
Kendrick Perkins is voting for Shai for MVP because Shai has led the second youngest team to the best record in a highly competitive Western Conference, all while achieving individual stats comparable to those of Michael Jordan and Stephen Curry in their MVP seasons pic.twitter.com/zbmADk4BKr

Jokic, Luka and Brunson are all deserving of the MVP… but Shai leading the second youngest team to the best record in an absolutely STACKED Western Conference while putting up numbers like MJ and Steph did during their MVP seasons is the reason HE is the MVP of the league!!!…
