On Monday night at the Brooklyn Academy of Music, The Indiana Fever selected Iowa superstar Caitlin Clark as the No. 1 pick in the WNBA draft.
The signing seems to have put pressure on the franchise’s merchandise department. As the WNBA’s online store, managed by Fanatics, announced, Clark’s Indiana Fever jersey was sold out of all sizes in the first few hours.

The jerseys were available on the website shortly after Clark’s name was called on Monday night and per the updates sizes XS, M, L, XL, and XXL are all unavailable. While the jersey, which cost $99.99, is now only available in size S.
In the draft event, it marked the first time the WNBA Draft sold tickets to fans, and it was sold out. Per reports, The Indiana Fever’s ticket sales skyrocketed ahead of her arrival and now, she is likely to have the hottest-selling jersey in the WNBA this season.
Clark’s as No. 1 overall selection gives her a guaranteed contract and her, rookie salary starts at a little over $76,000.
Spotrac reported Clark will make $76,535 in her first year of a four-year, $338,056 contract with the Fever. It’ll increase to $78,066 in Year 2 and $85,873 in Year 3.
Last season as a senior, Clark put together a huge year with new career highs of 31.6 points and 8.9 assists, helping Iowa return to the national championship once again.
At Iowa, Clark became the NCAA DI’s all-time leading scorer with 3,951 points and also a four-time AP All-American, two-time AP Player of the Year, two-time Wooden Award winner, two-time Naismith Award winner and led Iowa to two National Championship appearances.
Clark and the Fever open their season on May 14 against the Connecticut Sun, and her debut game is set on May 16, against the New York Liberty.
