Here’s a rundown of the top picks from the 1st Round of the 2024 WNBA Draft:

Angel Reese was drafted in the 2024 WNBA Draft by the Chicago Sky at number 7 overall! She wasn’t one of the top picks, but she was still a highly sought-after prospect.

A standout player from LSU, Reese had an impressive college career. Reese was a national champion with LSU. She holds the record for most double-doubles in a single D1 season (a whopping 34!). She was also named an All-American and SEC Player of the Year.

During the draft, Reese expressed her enthusiasm about joining the Chicago Sky, especially the opportunity to play alongside Kamilla Cardoso, another top pick drafted by the Sky.

The draft featured international talent as well, with Carla Leite (F, France) going to the Dallas Wings and Leila Lacan (G, France) drafted by the Connecticut Sun.
