“I know it for sure” 12x All-Star Chris Paul Insists He Has No Plans to Retire After Gut-Wrenching Golden State Warriors Loss to Sacramento Kings In Play-In

The Golden State Warriors were supposed to be the stop where Chris Paul could make a legitimate attempt at an NBA championship push. Unfortunately, that has not turned out to be the case. The Warriors were officially eliminated lat night in a heartbreaking 118-94 loss to the Sacramento Kings in the NBA Play-in Tournament.

Many were hoping Chris Paul could be the missing piece to help guide the Bay Area team to the championship, but that was not the case.

In a recent piece by The Athletics Anthony Slater, the guard discussed his future with the franchise after a disappointing loss.

“I’ll talk to my wife and my kids, my family, my support system, see what it looks like,” said Paul. “But this isn’t (the end of my career). I know it for sure.”

Paul has been around the league over an illustrious 20-year career that has seen him feature with the New Orleans Hornets, Los Angeles Clippers, Houston Rockets, Oklahoma City Thunder, Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors.

Over an impressive run, he has gone on to play in 1271 regular season games. Over that stretch, he has a lifetime 17.5 points, 9.4 assists and 3.9 rebounds per game.

One thing missing for Paul’s storied career in a championship ring. It will be interesting to see whether the veteran returns with the Warriors, or takes a chance on another contender next season.
