NBC announces Noah Eagle as their basketball play-by-play voice for 2024 Paris Olympics

The famed sportscaster Ian Eagle’s son, Noah Eagle, has been chosen by NBC Sports to cover play-by-play for USA basketball men’s and women’s games, including the medal rounds at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

He is also NBC’s play-by-play broadcaster for Big Ten Saturday Night package and Big Ten Basketball on Peacock. He was the radio voice for the Los Angeles Clippers for four years and was also recently given an Emmy nomination for his first season as play-by-play voice for Big Ten Saturday Night football package on both NBC and Peacock as per ESPN.

Eagle shared his sentiments regarding his inclusion to the broadcast team, stating, “I’m excited to feel it. To be here is really cool. I also grew up as a swimmer, so the Olympics were always special in that sense, just because I had known how much work goes into one meet, let alone making an Olympic team, let alone winning a gold medal. So, to see it up close and personal will be really special.”

Rebecca Chatman, who is the vice president and coordinating producer for NBC Olympics Production, also mentioned, “Noah has excelled on many high-profile events, including as our lead Big Ten voice, and NBA and college basketball games. We are excited to hear him call Team USA’s quest for gold in both the men’s and women’s tournaments this summer.”

This marks the second time for Eagle to call for the Olympics, and this time he will do that in person. Eagle called the 3×3 basketball at the Tokyo Olympics, three years ago from the country due to the pandemic, however, this time he gets a chance to visit.
