Shaq couldn’t resist getting in a good jab at Chris Haynes during a recent TNT broadcast!
It all went down during the pre-game show for the NBA Play-In game between the Warriors and Kings. Chris Haynes, a TNT reporter, was giving updates when he casually mentioned being the MVP of a Filipino league he participates in. This was like blood in the water for the ever-teasing Shaquille O’Neal.
Charles Barkley, never one to miss a joke, questioned the competition level by asking how many Filipino players have made it to the NBA. Haynes takes it in stride, laughing it off.
Seizing the opportunity, Shaq chimes in with his signature humor. He claims to know Haynes’ “Filipino name” – “Manny Black-uiao.” This is a playful jab, referencing the legendary Filipino boxer Manny Pacquiao. Pacquiao served as both head coach and player for the Philippine Basketball Association team Kia/Mahindra for a span of three seasons, spanning from 2014 to 2017.
