USA Basketball Announces 12-man Roster For Paris 2024 With Lebron James, Steph Curry, Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant All Included In Star-Studded Group

Representing your country is one of the highest honors that can be bestowed on an athlete and there is no greater platform than the Olympic Games.

The Unites States men’s basketball team has finally unveiled their 12-man roster for the upcoming Olympics set to take place in Paris, France. The star-studded lineup that includes some of the games biggest names includes LeBron James and Stephen Curry and will be managed by Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr. The last spot on the roster was awarded to six-time All-Star and two-time NBA champion Kawhi Leonard.

The final 12-man roster consists of:

LeBron James – Los Angeles Lakers

Stephen Curry – Golden State Warriors

Joel Embiid – Philadelphia 76ers

Anthony Davis – Los Angeles Lakers

Anthony Edwards – Minnesota Timberwolves

Kevin Durant – Phoenix Suns

Devin Booker – Phoenix Suns

Jayson Tatum – Boston Celtics

Jrue Holiday – Boston Celtics

Tyrese Haliburton – Indiana Pacers

Bam Adebayo – Miami Heat

Kawhi Leonard – Los Angeles Clippers

 

The legendary 1992 USA “Dream Team” that featured stars such as Michael Jordan, Larry Bird and Magic Johnson has been credited for the growth in the game’s popularity on a global scale. That team went on to win the gold medal in Barcelona, defeating the Croatia in the championship game.

USA will enter the tournament as firm favorites to seal their fifth consecutive gold medal. Serbia and France are also littered with talented stars and could stand in the way of an easy path to the finals.

The Olympics are set to take place from July 26 to August 11.
