Buccaneers running back Rachaad White is confident the offense will click this season, in a new system run by Liam Cohen.
White had a purposeful 2023 campaign with 990 rushing yards and 549 receining yards and will look to connect with quarterback Baker Mayfield in a reworked offensive structure.
White wants to be a force that keeps defensive coordinators in the film room at all hours and believes the run-first team of last season will be more varied.
"If you are a guy in this league, you want to be a guy that is scouted for and respected," White, a former Arizona State player, told the team’s official website.
"I have seen that and people just leaving me out. I saw that and wanted to make the most and make people fear me, make people respect me and to say when I come in the game, ‘It is not just 13, 14. [No. 1] you have to worry about, too.’"
White is durable and multi-dimensional and started all of the team"s 19 games last season, a growing rarity among running backs.
