During an intense showdown against the Hawks, Alex Caruso of the Chicago Bulls experienced a significant setback.
The Bulls’ guard went down after being on the receiving end of an accidental collision with teammate Andre Drummond.
Caruso, caught in a bizarre sequence, was physically overwhelmed by the 6-foot-11, 280-pound Bulls’ center Drummond.
The transition period of the 9-10 showdown in the second quarter led to this pivotal incident. The collision left the guard shaken, causing Caruso to favor his left foot.

The game saw a quick change as Caruso subbed out of the match. Although he made a brief return to the game, the concern over his injury prevailed, leading to him being subbed out for good.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski later reported that as a result of the collision, Caruso suffered a “significant” left ankle sprain.
This injury is now casting a doubt over Caruso’s availability for the upcoming second play-in game against the Miami Heat.
Despite Caruso’s egress, the Bulls still managed to secure a comfortable victory of 131-116 in the game.
Noteworthy performances from fellow players such as Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, and Javonte Green aided in the Bulls’ triumph.
