He said,
“I don’t want to pressure anyone to vote for a certain president. I want people to use their voice, whoever they believe in. I want them to do the research.”
QB Mahomes had led his team to victory against the San Francisco 49ers in this year’s Super Bowl, also securing the Most Valuable Player award for the third time.
Also on the conversation of gun control, he seems to have avoided the conversation on the recent shooting in Kansas City, Missouri, during the Chiefs Super Bowl victory parade.
Mahomes said.
“I continue to educate myself. I don’t want to make a quick response to something that takes a lot of education to really learn and make a swaying comment based off that. But I know we have to find a solution or some way to make this stuff stop.”
Mahomes had donated $50,000 to help the shooting victims and visited some of them at hospitals, he chose not to comment, he said needs to be a solution to gun violence.
Mahomes mentioned he chooses not to give any presidential candidate his endorsement comes after Dwayne Johnson said he is not planning to endorse any candidate for 2024.
