On April 15, 2024, the Indiana Fever selected Caitlin Clark as the first pick in the WNBA draft. Prior to the draft, Clark had a phenomenal college career at the University of Iowa. She achieved scoring records and even boosted television ratings for women’s basketball games. The Indiana Fever is hoping Clark will help them turn things around after a long playoff drought.
Amid this, former NFL wide receiver Antonio Brown unfortunately made some negative comments about Caitlin Clark after she was drafted into the WNBA.
The former Super Bowl LV wrote, “Caitlin Clark looks like she keeps it hairy.”
Indeed, Antonio Brown’s comment is a vulgar way of commenting on a woman’s body hair. Even if not intended sexually, it could be seen as body shaming. Brown’s comment detracts from Clark’s talent and athleticism. Her skill on the court is what matters, not her appearance.
Antonio Brown’s tweet about Caitlin received a whopping 3.5 million views.

Antonio Brown had been a talented wide receiver in the NFL with a very successful career. However, he marred it with controversy.
Drafted by the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2010, Brown became known as one of the best receivers of the 2010s. He earned numerous accolades including Pro Bowl selections and receiving yard leader titles. He later played for the New England Patriots, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and briefly for the Las Vegas Raiders. He won Super Bowl LV with the Buccaneers.
Brown’s career was also marked by off-field incidents and disagreements with teams. These included accusations of sexual assault, reckless behavior, and a mid-game exit where he removed his uniform while playing for the Buccaneers.
As of April 2024, Brown is a free agent after his release by the Buccaneers. There’s speculation about his retirement, but he’s also hinted at a potential return to the NFL.
