The Miami Heat lost more than their Play-In NBA playoff match to the 76ers, with an extended injury layoff for Jimmy Butler likely.
The injury occurred when Butler was fouled by the 76ers Kelly Oubre Jr, at the end of the first quarter.
Miami lost the game 104-105 and they could lose Butler for the rest of the season with a right knee injury.
“I fell, he [Oubre] landed, and my knee just didn"t do well, I guess," Butler said after the game. “I don"t know. It"s not a good feeling, I can tell you that."
He continued to play buy was hindered and went 5-18 from the field.
He will do his MRI scan today and the Heat will know how to move forward.
Last season Miami progressed from the Play-In Tournament all the way to the finals, before losing to the Nuggets.
