“Jealousy in WNBA is crazy” – 2X WNBA champion A’ja Wilson gets slammed for allegedly hating on Indiana Fever star Caitlin Clark

This immense talent made her the undisputed top prospect for the 2024 WNBA Draft. The Indiana Fever used the number one pick to select Caitlin Clark.

Well, Caitlin Clark isn’t just dominating the WNBA court. She’s also making waves in the endorsement world with a massive deal with Nike. Reports suggest the total value of the deal exceeds $10 million. Industry sources estimate Clark could be earning $1 million annually just from the shoe aspect of the deal. A key part of the deal is that Clark is expected to have her own signature shoe with Nike.

Now, after the news of Nike collaborating with Caitlin Clark went viral, it lead 2X WNBA champion A’ja Wilson to post a Biblical message on her X account.

Wilson wrote, “Psalm 37:7.”

Well, Psalm 37:7 in a nutshell means trusting God’s plan and not letting jealousy or worry cloud your faith.

One fan reposted the WNBA icon’s tweet and wrote, “The jealousy in the WNBA is crazy !!!!!! Caitlin bout to bring a new level of viewership to your league and you hating on her???”

To which, A’ja Wilson wrote back, “LOL, no one is jealous bookie! I have no reason to be lol I truly Wish all 143 the best fr! Our league is hard as hell so to thrive and to stay in it consistently.. is huge! So pls stop with this jealousy stuff.”

A’ja Wilson’s WNBA Career

A’ja is a two-time WNBA champion. She has won with the Las Vegas Aces in both 2022 and 2023. She’s a two-time WNBA MVP (2020 and 2022).

Capping off her incredible 2023 season, she was also named Finals MVP. Wilson started strong, winning Rookie of the Year in 2018.

In the WNBA, A’ja has established herself as a defensive force. She has won Defensive Player of the Year in both 2022 and 2023. She’s a five-time WNBA All-Star, selected in 2018, 2019, and from 2021 to 2023.

Entering the 2024 season, she ranks high in WNBA history for points per game (4th), rebounds per game (6th), defensive rebounds per game (4th), and blocks per game (5th).
