The Oakland Athletics loss against the Cardinals was attended by a low number of attendees. According to Front Office Sports, the game was attended by 3,296 spectators.
As per the report, teams face stagnant crowds during the initial period of the season, however, the Athletics last year had registered spectators below the above-mentioned number. Oakland’s attendance average is 5,968 and its average is down by half as compared to last year.
After this season, the Athletics will be headed to Sacramento for the 2025–2027 seasons, and their permanent location in Las Vegas is still in question. Due to fewer people attending the games at the Coliseum, Aramark, the team’s concessionaire, has openly shared, considering the team and business of the company.
The Oakland A's drew a season-low 3,296 fans on Tuesday—less than 19 minor league games, including three at the single-A level.
After the A's severed its last ties with Oakland, there's little reason to see the pitiful attendance figures turning around, writes @AEricFisher ⬇️

According to Eric Fisher of FOS, a letter to workers was obtained by the San Francisco Chronicle, which mentioned, “it is against Aramark’s business conduct policy to speak to the government, media, or press on behalf of the company, and/or comment on Aramark/client business matters. This includes reporters, written responses, phone calls, video calls, social media, and any other forms of communication, violations of this policy are subject to disciplinary action up to and including termination.”
A portion of the Coliseum stadium and concessions staff, as per the report, could be on the verge of possible layoffs due to the team’s relocation to Sacramento for the upcoming seasons.
