Ahead of their first-round series in the 2024 NBA Playoffs, the war of words between the New York Knicks and Philadelphia 76ers has now extended to the stands.
76ers player Kelly Oubre Jr. criticized the famous camera-seeking celebrities who attend the Knicks games, suggesting that they don’t genuinely care about the gameplay.

Despite this, Oubre acknowledged that Madison Square Garden is one of his favorite places to play. In response, Knicks player Josh Hart dismissed comments made by 76ers player Paul Reed, who called the Knicks an “easier team” than the Boston Celtics, using explicit language.

There was speculation that the Knicks intentionally lost their regular season finale to avoid facing the 76ers and star player Joel Embiid in the playoffs.
However, the Knicks secured the No. 2 seed and will face the 76ers in the first round. The 76ers gained confidence with Embiid’s return from injury earlier this month.
The first game of the series will take place on Saturday at Madison Square Garden. Oubre’s comments sparked responses from some of the Knicks’ celebrity supporters, providing entertainment and hype for the upcoming series.
The 76ers are preparing to face the passionate fans at the Garden, acknowledging their love for the game.

For the most part that isn't the case, at least from what they show. I mean sometimes the celebs are a bit too into the game…cough…Spike…cough

Why is he worried about this ? He better focus in on who’s on the court.

The only Philadelphia celebrity is Rocky, and he’s a fictional character so he won’t be attending game three

Morgan, Spike, McEnroe, Falco, MJ Fox, shirripa exempt from this comment. Not wrong about others

Bro sounds upset cuz celebrities wouldn’t go see them in Philly even if the tickets were free

Only thing wrong was the celebrity thing. Every big city team does it. LA and Miami do it. Philly isn’t a major city and they have no celebrities, so they can’t do it. Simple
