LeBron James had some glowing words for Nikola Jokic as the Los Angeles Lakers geared up for their first-round showdown with the Denver Nuggets.
James didn’t hold back in praising Jokic, hailing him as one of the all-time greats in NBA history for his versatility on the court.
“He’s simply one of the best players ever to grace this game,” James remarked. “He’s a complete package. What’s truly remarkable is how he elevates his teammates’ performance levels. When you can inspire your squad to reach heights they didn’t even know they could, that’s the mark of greatness.” Said Lebron

With over two decades in the NBA, James has seen it all, so his admiration for Jokić speaks volumes. Jokić has been putting up impressive numbers this season, averaging 26.4 points, 12.4 rebounds, and nine assists per game, making a solid case for his third MVP title. Following his first championship win last year, Jokić is solidifying his place among the basketball elite.
However, despite James’ respect for Jokić, he’s focused on ending the Nuggets’ season in the opening round. Last year, the Lakers lost to Denver in four games during the Western Conference Finals, and James is eager for redemption this time around.
The Lakers-Nuggets series tips off on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. ET, promising an intense battle between two powerhouse teams.
