It is no secret that the Los Angeles Lakers have had trouble with Denver Nuggets’ two-time MVP Nikola Jokic over the last few seasons. LeBron James remains one of the game’s elite player but containing the 6’11” center is not a one man job. The Lakers could use some help stopping the Serbian superstar.
Former Laker Dwight Howard stated in a recent post that he may be the answer to all the team’s problems. Howard was an eight-time All-Star, a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and a former NBA champion. He sizes up well versus Jokic and if anyone can hold the Nuggets big man down, it is Howard.
In his message on X (formerly Twitter), Howard posted: Lebron 39 I’m 38! I’m still in shape ya saying that was 3 years ago but I’m still in shape lol

The Lakers have lost nine straight games to Nuggets and can’t seem to find a solution.
Howard has not played in the NBA since 2022 when he features in 27 games for the Lakers but at 38 years old, remains a realistic option.
Over, 18 seasons in the NBA, he went on to play in 1242 regular seasons games and finished with an average of 15.7 points and 11.8 rebounds per game.
