Exclusive: “I saw Drake” Indianapolis Colts Defensive End Dayo Odeyingbo Talks About Seeing Rapper Drake Live

The loss of Antony Richardson last year seriously hampered the Indianapolis Colts chances of a playoff run. The Colts were littered with talented players but an injury to their start quarterback was always going to be an issue.

Without Richardson, the Colts finished 9-8 and missed out on the playoffs one again. They have not returned to the playoffs since 2020.

Luckily for the Colts, they have some top players returning next year. Dayo Odeyingbo, who was drafted in the second round of the 2021 draft, has quietly developed into one of the top players int he league. The 24-year-old Brooklyn native recorded 8 sacks, 38 tackles and 17 quarterback hits last season to leave his mark on the league. Entering the 2024 seasons, he is projected to be one of the team’s top assets.

During a recent exclusive interview with Overtime Heroics, Odeyingbo spoke with senior editor Reggie Roberts about the NFL, the Colts and his personal life. Asked by Roberts what the last concert he attended was, Odeyingbo had an interesting answer:

“I saw Drake,” said Odeyingbo.

Drake remains one of the premier rappers in the industry with several hit songs to his name. It is no surprise that the Colts defensive end has a soft spot for the Canadian rapper.
