In an exclusive interview with Overtime Heroics Senior Editor Reggie Roberts, New England Patriots cornerback Marcus Jones opened up about various topics, including his burgeoning music career, his musical influences, the most stylish players on the Patriots, tough opponents in the NFL, and his choice of wheels despite his NFL riches.
In addition to football, Jones also has an eye on the hardwood. When asked if he follows the NBA, Jones responded affirmatively.
Roberts pressed further, asking about Jones’s pick for this year’s NBA Finals. Jones, who has embraced the Boston culture since joining the Patriots, threw his support behind the Celtics. His love for the city and its team was evident as he expressed his desire for the Celtics to secure the championship in 2024.
OH: Do you follow the NBA?
MJ: “Yes.”
OH: Who do you like in this year’s NBA Finals?
MJ: “As I moved up here, I want the Celtics to do it. I love the culture that they have out here, and I try to support as much as I can whether it’s at the games or home. I need the Celtics to go ahead and do it (win the 2024 NBA championship).”
The Boston Celtics are having a fantastic season! Currently in first place in the Eastern Conference, they hold a very strong record of 64 wins and 18 losses. They’re far ahead of the second place New York Knicks, who are 14 games behind. The Celtics have been dominant at home with a record of 37 wins and 4 losses, and on the road they are also impressive at 27 wins and 14 losses. They are definitely a team to watch in the NBA playoffs!
