Female comedian ARRESTED for carrying WRONG HANDBAG at Dodgers vs Mets game in a bizzare incident

Elayne Boosler, a comedian and longtime Los Angeles Dodger supporter, was arrested at an MLB game between Dodgers versus on a recent Sunday. But it wasn’t due to any unruly behavior.

The crux of the issue was the stadium’s clear bag policy. Apparently, Boosler brought a new, small (10-inch) baseball bag that wasn’t transparent.

According to her YouTube video about the incident, there wasn’t any mention of a clear bag requirement when she purchased her tickets. As a result, security wouldn’t allow her in with the non-compliant bag.

Faced with a long walk back to her car in the hot weather and the high cost of parking, Boosler expressed her frustration. Things escalated when she was denied entry and threatened with arrest for trespassing if she didn’t leave.

When Boosler decided to challenge them, she got arrested. Next, the comedian was handcuffed and detained for a while. It’s important to note that according to her account, the officers were courteous throughout the situation. At the stadium office, despite being cooperative, Boosler was still charged due to the officer pressing the trespassing claim.

Dodger Stadium enforces a strict clear bag policy for security reasons.

The goal of the clear bag policy is to allow for faster and easier security checks. Security personnel can see what’s inside your bag without having to dig around.

Approved Bags:

Clear Plastic Bags: These can be no larger than 12″ x 6″ x 12″ (think lunchbox size).

One-gallon Ziploc Style Bags: Clear, resealable plastic bags are also acceptable.

Small Clutch Purse: You can bring a small clutch purse no bigger than 7″ x 9″ along with one of the approved clear bags.

Non-compliant Bags: Any bag that’s not clear or exceeds the size limits is not allowed. This includes backpacks, purses (except small clutches), and briefcases.

Exceptions:

Diaper bags: Both adult and infant diaper bags are permitted, but they will be subject to search.
