Marcus Jones, the talented cornerback for the New England Patriots, has been making waves in the NFL with his unexpected rise to prominence and promising future. Despite dealing with a shoulder injury early in the 2023 season, which limited his playing time, Jones continues to showcase his immense potential. Hailing from Alabama, the 25-year-old made a name for himself as a standout player during his college days at Houston. His hard work paid off when the New England Patriots drafted him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Reggie Roberts, Senior Editor at Overtime Heroics, recently caught up with Marcus Jones to learn more about him off the field. When asked if he’s a car or truck guy, Jones revealed he’s a car guy. Due to his short stature, he’s not a fan of big trucks. He finds it inconvenient to climb out of large trucks, preferring the ease of getting in and out of cars.
Overtime Heroics Reggie Roberts : Are you a car or a truck guy?
Marcus Jones: “Definitely a car guy. I’m not a fan of crazy trucks. I’m short guy, so whenever I get out of a big truck, I’ve got to hop down, so I really don’t feel like doing that, so I am a car guy.”OH: What car do you drive to the stadium on game day?
Marcus Jones: “I drive a 2019 Honda Accord. It’s the best thing on the market. If I have any problems with my car, I can take it anywhere I want to and get it fixed, so that’s great. And then gas — as we know — up north – the gas prices are outrageous. However, they only charge me like $40 to go from empty to full…everyone else pays $60 or $80 dollars to fill up…I can’t relate…sorry.”https://twitter.com/itsbostoncream/status/1782509770324451803
Jones then shared that he drives a 2019 Honda Accord to the stadium on game days. He praised the reliability of his car, noting that he can quickly get it fixed anywhere if needed. Additionally, he highlighted the economic benefits, mentioning that despite high gas prices in the north, he only pays around $40 to fill up his tank, compared to others who pay much more. Overall, Jones enjoys the practicality and efficiency of his choice of transportation.
