Overtime Heroics Senior Editor Reggie Roberts recently caught up with Evan Hull during the Colts’ offseason workouts. In the interview, Hull discussed rehabilitation and readiness for the upcoming season. Hull said that his top priority is regaining full health after an injury last year. He"s concentrating on his knee"s well-being, aiming not just for 100% but even better. He wants to regain the explosiveness, power, and strength he needs to perform at his best.
Overtime Heroics: “What are you most focused on this offseason?"
Evan Hull: "I’d say the number one thing for me is getting back healthy. Getting back to 100% and even more so. Not a lot of people know that I was injured last year. I’m focusing on the health of my knee, getting better, and focusing on regaining the explosiveness, power and strength."
Evan Hull"s rookie season with the Indianapolis Colts in 2023 was unfortunately cut short due to a knee injury. During Week 1 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, he suffered a torn meniscus [torn meniscus Colts Evan Hull]. This sidelined him for the entire remaining season.
He only saw limited action before the injury, with just one yard rushing and a six-yard reception in that Week 1 game. However, there were expectations for him to contribute as a receiving back based on his skills.
Previously, Evan Hull played college football at Northwestern University and was drafted by the Colts in the fifth round of the 2023 NFL Draft.
