Marcus Jones, the cornerback for the New England Patriots, has emerged as a surprising talent in the NFL, with many expecting big things from him in the future. Despite dealing with a shoulder injury early in the 2023 season, which limited his playing time, Jones’ potential remains clear. Originally from Alabama, the 25-year-old made a name for himself as a standout player during his college years at Houston. His hard work paid off when the New England Patriots drafted him in the third round of the 2022 NFL Draft.
Reggie Roberts, senior editor at Overtime Heroics, recently interviewed Marcus Jones about his pre-game meal routine.
Overtime Heroics Reggie Roberts : What does your pre-game meal consist of?
Marcus Jones: “They always usually try to give you pasta, guys. I do eat pasta, but I don’t go crazy with the red sauce. What I normally do is have pasta with a little bit of salt and pepper, green beans, and some potatoes. I don’t really eat too heavy on game days.”https://twitter.com/itsbostoncream/status/1782509770324451803
Jones shared that while the pasta is often on the menu for players, he prefers not to have heavy red sauce. Instead, he opts for pasta seasoned with a bit of salt and pepper and green beans and potatoes. Jones prefers to keep his pre-game meal light, avoiding heavy foods that might weigh him down during the game.
