Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky are out, Russell Wilson and Justin Fields are in. The Pittsburgh Steelers have revamped their quarterback group with some big moves this offseason.
Wilson, who is a nine-time Pro Bowler and Super Bowl champion, was acquired from the Denver Broncos and will likely start to begin the 2024 season. Fields, who is coming off his best NFL season yet with the Chicago Bears, has one year left on his rookie contract and will be looking to make his mark in Pittsburgh.
The Steelers have options when it comes to the quarterback position but general manager Omar Khan is unwilling to rule out another addition from this supremely talented draft class.
“I think it’s not realistic that we’ll be taking a quarterback in Round 1, if that’s what you’re asking, no,” said Khan per NFL.com.

Four, five, or even six quarterbacks are projected to be drafted in the first round this year and Khan will likely stay away from using his no. 20 overall pick on the position. The veteran NFL executive, however, did not rule out picking up another signal-caller in the later rounds.
“There are some good players there, and I wouldn’t close the door on anything. If there’s an opportunity to improve that room, obviously, we’ll look at it, but like you said, we’ve got three guys who are on one-year deals and we have to be open to it,” added Khan.
