According to a recent poll by The Athletic, NBA players voted for who they think is the most overrated player in the league. Unfortunately, Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert received 13.6% of the votes, earning him that title.
After the poll results spread online, Gobert’s girlfriend, Julia Bonilla, made headlines when she stood up for him. She proudly defended her boyfriend, saying, “My partner is the most dedicated, focused, hard-working person I have ever met. He hasn’t stolen anything from anyone and deserves all the respect for his determination and commitment to his career.” Bonilla expressed frustration at the negativity, stating, “It’s hard for me to stay quiet in front of so much stupidity, disrespect and nonsense.”

She continued, praising Gobert’s character as a fair player, a great teammate with a good heart and a strong mind. Gobert, who has won the NBA Defensive Player of the Year award three times, is once again nominated for the title after averaging 14 points, 12.9 rebounds, and 2.1 blocks per game
