recently on Fox Sports’ Colin Cowherd suggested that Kevin Durant, the renowned NBA player, is becoming irrelevant.

This comment has caused intense debate, as Durant has historically demonstrated exceptional performance capabilities.

Cowherd’s statement, given following the loss of game 1 by Durant’s team, is a claim that not everyone in the sports domain agrees with.

“Years ago there was this argument that KD was better than LeBron and I laughed at it over and over,” Cowherd began. “What if Kevin Durant gets rolled here in Round 1 by Minnesota? Not exactly a historical juggernaut. It will point out what the almost apologetic NBA media always fails to do: KD makes bad decisions.”

Kevin Durant, at 35, showed exceptional game-play during the first game. He secured a commendable 31 points on 11-of-17 shooting.

However, Cowherd’s generalized view of his relevancy seems to be based on a single setback.

Kevin Durant was also likened to “a more available Kawhi Leonard,” which ironically; a comparison like this should be seen as a compliment rather than a slight opinionated slight.

Durant, who is three years older than Leonard, partook in 75 games this season. He averaged 27.1 points, 6.6 rebounds, and 5. assists while shooting 52.3% overall, compared to Leonard’s figures of 68 games which averaged 23.6 points.

Despite being older than Leonard, Durant has maintained commendable performance level. He’s showcased more games, more points, and more assists on average than Leonard.

Kevin Durant, with two championships and two Finals MVPs recognitions, is undeniably a critical player in basketball.

His achievements were gained during his tenure with the famed Warriors.
