Jamal Murray came to the rescue on Monday night, delivering an incredible buzzer-beater to lift the Denver Nuggets over the Los Angeles Lakers, scoring 101-99 in Game 2 of their playoff series. With the game tied and time running out, Murray made a spectacular fadeaway shot over Anthony Davis, sending the Nuggets bench and fans into a frenzy at Ball Arena in Denver.
Murray’s clutch performance included scoring 14 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter, helping the Nuggets mount a remarkable 20-point comeback in the second half. With this win, the defending champions, the Lakers, now trail 0-2 in the series as they move to Los Angeles for Game 3 on Thursday night.
Remarkably, the Nuggets have now won 10 consecutive games against the Lakers.
