Tyrese Maxey battled through illness and delivered an outstanding performance for the Philadelphia 76ers in Game 2 against the New York Knicks.
Despite scoring 35 points, recording 10 assists, and grabbing nine rebounds, Maxey’s efforts weren’t enough as the Sixers suffered a heartbreaking 104-101 loss.
“I don’t feel great, honestly… I took medicine, took an IV… I wasn’t missing the game.”

Joel Embiid also contributed with 34 points and 10 rebounds, but the team couldn’t overcome the Knicks’ late-game surge.
The series now stands at 2-0 in favor of New York, with Game 3 scheduled in Philadelphia.
While Maxey and Embiid showed resilience and determination, the Sixers will need a collective effort to turn the tide in their favor.
Although they came close to stealing a game at Madison Square Garden, Donte DiVincenzo’s go-ahead three-pointer secured the victory for the Knicks.
Maxey and Embiid played well in the first half, and the team improved defensively, but the Knicks posed challenges with Josh Hart’s shotmaking and Jalen Brunson’s crucial plays.
To bounce back, the Sixers need stronger offensive contributions from players like Kelly Oubre Jr. and Buddy Hield.
In Game 3, they aim to regain momentum and win a crucial home game. Despite the setback, Embiid remains confident in the team’s ability to fix their mistakes and stage a comeback.
With their star player leading the way, the Sixers have the potential to turn things around despite being down 2-0 in the series.
